I brewed extract for a couple of years in the late 90s then took a break.  I started doing all-grain after moving up north and joining the local club.

I use these all the time, although I put a piece of masking tape on the lid and write on the masking tape, that way they can be re-used.

I add a pinch to my starters and still add 1/2 tsp to my wort.

I did a belgian blond with 3522 and crashed it at 32 and eventually added gelatin.  Never did clear up, but damn was it tasty.

I soak my peas for 30 minutes in compost tea.  Just planted them last week.

No asparagus up yet, but the rhubarb plant is starting to pop.

I'll try the Free & Clear Natural 2X Seventh Generation detergent if the current 5-day soak in PBW/oxyclean does not work.  Sometimes you gotta change your approach rather than doing more of the same.

I tried the 7th generation detergent and did 2 soaks before dumping it an hitting it with PBW.  I have started inverting by BB when soaking with PBW to avoid stress fractures on the bottom.

I use a concentration of 2 oz of PBW in 5 gallons of hot faucet water and let it soak overnight.  On the few occasions where it didn't all come off a 2nd round took care of it.

I use starsan as well.  I'm a little paranoid and have dedicated tubing, siphon and airlocks for sours.

The only time I use a blow off tube is when I use wyeast 3068 or 3787.
