Hello,

How can  you get 105 IBU's from Stone Ruination IPA clone in Zymurgy July/August 2012?

The recipe is:

12.5 lb two row
12 oz 15L
1.75 oz Columbus at -90
1.0 oz Centennial at 0
2.5 oz Centennial dry hop

Brewpal calculates it as: 47 IBU

I forgot to mention that I added the salts just before the boil, not during the mash (which is where I think I should have)

I'm guessing the beer should be drinkable, but perhaps a little bitter because its a low alchol level.

Thoughts on adding it at boil instead of mash?

If I used distilled water is there a standard that can applied for adding salts to imitate Burton water.

On a side note I used 5 teaspoons of BrewCraft Burton salts to my 5 gallon batch brewed with distilled water.  I think the package said each teaspoon to 1 gallon would add 889 points.

The styles I brewed were an Amber and a brown

Did I really mess this up?

Just to make sure I'm clear...

I can mark my caps now and then when I send them in for the upcoming "National Homebrew Competition" for 2011 I can 'mark out' my identification on the caps... color it in is as black circle?
