« on: March 22, 2013, 09:39:50 pm »Wow. This almost sounds better than chocolate-covered bacon.I had chocolate covered bacon last weekend, made with unsweetened chocolate - I thought it was terrible. What a way to ruin bacon.
I've had it with dark chocolate, and I came to the same conclusion. To me, the flavors don't play well together. I don't like black IPA's for the same reason.

There was one in south Everett (WA) called Pho Kim. I thinnk they've either closed or changed their name...I went to take a picture of the sign recently, and it's no longer there.

« on: November 04, 2012, 02:50:25 pm »While I plan on using mine for my kegs, for a carboy I would use a plastic milk crate (like the ones that say "Thou Shalt Not Steal" on them, although Wally World probably sells them). With one hand steadying the carboy the other would be ratcheting the winch.
I can't tell if it's reversible - it might be difficult lowering a full carboy (or keg) down into the freezer.

« on: August 28, 2012, 07:04:18 pm »Hey all, I'm headed up to north Seattle, WA. area (Lynnwood) and then heading to Vancouver, BC. Any good recommendations on breweries and brew pubs? We plan on hitting Grandville Island in Vancouver and possibly Chuckanut in WA.
If you're spending any time in Lynnwood (vs. just driving through) American Brewing in Edmonds and Ellersick Brewing (Big E ales) in Lynnwood are two breweries nearby that have some tasty beers.

Sounds like zucchini here in the NW. Everybody grows 'em, everybody has lots of them...if you leave your car unlocked, someone might leave a bag of 'em in there.
