FWIW I have never found a .... ahem .... "session IPA" that was as sessionable as a good IPA....

I really enjoy Lagunitas Daytime which they refer to as a "fractional IPA" @ 4.65% ABV and 54 IBUs. I think it tastes a lot like their normal IPA.

That was an awesome beer!

One big beef I have is that a lot of people want to throw the burden of proof back at you when they are the ones making the claim.

I recently asked someone where they got their numbers from and they said I was lazy and should look it up myself.

Hmm... Burden of Proof, I'll have to use that as a beer name!

It's not just Facebook, though. I still have a few people who just email their BS. The 2008 elections were the worst.

All this is a great example of how people fall for confirmation bias. They accept any claim as long as it adheres to their current beliefs.

Scenario:
-You share some infographic on Facebook that makes some claim (political, food science, etc)
-I comment with a single link to a snopes or politifact or factcheck article with references that demonstrates that the claim is wrong.

What is your response?

I've been accused of being ANGRY so I stopped including my own commentary when I post the link. Now I'm accused of being offensive because I shouldn't correct family members like that.

Personally, if I make a statement that is demonstrably incorrect, I want people to correct me.

I made this, it's an insinkerator disposal collar and paint strainer bag and work great!

That is a thing of beauty. Simple and functional. I made something similar with a large cookie cutter.

I purchased an o2 kit from Williams Brewing back in December. For various reasons I haven't taken it out of the package until the other day.

When I put the stone in some water to test and turned it on a) I have to turn it a lot before any o2 comes out and b) it makes a whistling type noise.

Are these normal?

I don't know what I'm doing that is making them grow so well. Lots of water and fertilizer? I didn't have many options when planting them so I'm happy to have any growth at all.

Yeah I have some labeled S for sparge and M for mash to put salt additions in also. Definitely keeps me from having to think on brew day! That would be dangerous.
