General Homebrew Discussion / Christmas Presents

Did anybody get any good homebrewing Christmas presents.  My awesome wife got me a bottle drying rack, and a really cool homebrewing journal.  I gave my father-in-law a six-pack of the latest coffee stout that I brewed (Addicted Coffee Stout from September/October Zymurgy) and he loved it.  I hope that everyone else gave and received some good brew related gifts.

I just started brewing last summer and this year for my birthday my wife bought me the membership (good wife!).  It's already worth it.  There is a lot of free information out there, but there is a lot of GOOD information here.  Figure there are magazine subscriptions alone that cost what the membership here costs and that's an easy way to justify it.

Their 2x IPA has been one of my favorites since the first time I tried it.  My father-in-law isn't big on hoppy beers, but I brought over a 6 pack of the 2x milk stout and he loved it.  I haven't seen the oatmeal stout in a while, but it was also good.  They do a fine job of making very flavorful beers and keeping them smooth and clean on the finish.  I'm over beers that are hoppy just to be hoppy

I thought it was pretty decent, but agree that it is far from New Belgium's best effort.  I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw "Pale Lager," but it basically explains it in the name.  Not overly hoppy, and fairly crisp.  I got one at a bar to try it and don't think I'd pick it up in the store.  I'm hoping they do "Snow Day" again this year.
