The wife and I have talked about taking a road trip and hitting up all the National Parks. A motorhome would be the ideal way of doing this type of trip. I would have to map out side trips to check out breweries along the way. Of course, we'd have to spend ski season in the mountains too.

I've only been a member for about a year and a half. I enjoy reading Zymurgy and reading the beer reviews. I wish there were more brewpubs in my area so I could take full advantage of my pub discount. I do use it when we head out to CO for ski trips and hiking. So I guess that isn't too bad.

In my local brew club meeting I mentioned the new website and the forum to everyone. I asked how many were AHA members and only 5 or 6 out of the 30 people at the meeting were AHA members. Hopefully, I helped generate some new members?? If not, maybe they'll check things out anyway.

I like Austin, I think their shipping costs are pretty good. It used to be 6.99 no matter how big your order was? I'm not sure if it's still like that or not. Sadly, I haven't ordered anything for a while.

Is there a way to view the most active or recently active topics? I think it would be nice to be able to click on something to show the active or new topics that have been brought up. I think it would make it easier to search for topics that I've posted to as well. Just a thought.

The new New Glarus brewery is awesome. I was just there a few weeks ago as well. It's huge compared to the original brewery just down the road. They definitely went all out for the new place. The tasting room is nice and we stocked up on some beers before we left town.

I really like the AHA discount as well. In my experience, there are still a lot of breweries that have never heard of the AHA Pub Discount. I've showed them my card and they have never seen or heard of AHA? I think it might be because I'm in the Midwest? I usually explain what the AHA card is and they usually provide a pint or sampler for free, which is very nice.

Hopefully, the concept will catch on more and people will recognize the cards when presented.

I'm going to share this forum with members of my local brew club in Central IL. We have our monthly meeting next Monday, I'll bring it up during our business meeting before the drinking begins. Hopefully, it will help others learn more about this awesome hobby.

I love Tech Talk, but the turnaround on here is so much quicker...so I could totally see it replacing it.

I agree with that. I was always reluctant to post something on Tech Talk because I wasn't sure if I would get any responses or I would probably lose it in my email somewhere. I like the forum idea.

Living in IL it's funny to see how many guys "call in sick" when shotgun season starts. Which is coming up in a few weeks. I guess there will be an increase in "the flu".
