looks like i got the hind end of the spool or something, does anyone have a trick up their sleeve for making my miscreant tubing behave? ive been offered the suggestion of hanging and weighting at NB forums and i thought i would set this out here as well.

"Brouwerij'ed" on the left side of the Belgian town Malle solely for consumption by the reverent Cistercian brothers. This ale is not served or sold to the public, making it one of the rarest beers in the world. Made only from pilsner malt, hops, and yeast, the complexity that results from these simple ingredients is staggering: perfumey floral hops, ripe pear fruit, sour apple, spicy cloves, candied citrus and a slight biscuit character on the drying finish ... a monks' session beer."

fermenting this now for my first time, but the reviews on NB's site are overwhelmingly positive; there is a long thread about it too. i have high hopes that this will be one of my staples.

i know that i love two hearted; and i know for damn sure that i love rogue brutal bitter, my local liquor store dude called in an order to his supplier so i can have some for christmas.

ive brewed the tongue splitter and it's carbing right now, i would imagine that before long, i will try that kit with a pound of hops, 155th dream i think.

just warming up the water for my next brew of the day here; NB's three hearted ale.

i started this morning with their patersbier and have high hopes for that one, as it comes with many good reviews. these two beers are my first attempts at making starters and i believe that i will try to "ranch" the yeast when they come off of the cake here in a couple weeks.

the next brew lined up is NB's #8, gonna be my first high O.G. @ 1.084!

that's a wealth of experience, it's great to be among the heavyweights. i'm a beginner, but i was the first one in my school to wear one white shoelace on the left foot and a black one on the right, so you could say i'm a self starter.

hello,

coming to you from the boundary waters in minnesota, i am a relatively new brewer with beers number 8, 9 and ten scheduled in the next week.

the NB website was my introduction to many veterans and i look forward to getting on with the business of making delicious beer.

here's to not having to hear anymore about, "i miss brewhaha".
