I like to start out with a $5 tip on first order.  Guess what, your server/bartender is going to take good care of you( I know because I bartended to pay my way through college).  If he/she is not taking care of you, I'm going to sit there and buy more drinks and take up a bar stool or two and get my money out of it and then never go back with that server on shift.  If you don't tip off the get-go, you're chancing it.  Bartenders aren't there for stuff-n-giggles. 
I believe everyone should work in the food service industry just once to learn courtesy.

I'm guessing it's to keep down on excessive foaming in your keg and out of the pressure relief valve on your lid when relieving pressure in your keg during the transfer.

I end up dry at the end.  I determine a sparging amount and go with that.  Water on top until out.

The thing that gets me is did he actually think that these women were not going to come forth with this info for some $$$$$ ?  I agree, I don't care if he is making a bad rep for himself but when the family gets involved, it's not right.

I have a burner and a kettle. Now all I need is a mash tun and I will ready for all grain.  

I've read denny's instructions and it seems dead simple. Are there any tricks or tips you wished you had known before building one?

I first installed a brass ball valve(lead) then switched it with S/S.
+ a few more on prepping for 10 gallon.
I also dump in about 3 gallons of hot water to the tun then empty before adding my grain bill and mash water to help offset huge temp drops.

I don't care about what everyone says, fly sparging has gotten me higher points all the time.  What it really boils down to is TIME.  When I FS, it takes 1 hr.  BS takes about 20 min.  The point differential is small.
