Equipment and Software / Anyone used the 10" spun poly beer filter from BB&MB

1) Are the 10" cartride spun poly filters from Beer Beer & More Beer realy sterile?
I am going to use them for filtering beer but not sure if I need to sterilize prior to use.

2) Has any one used the 1 micron 10" cartride with success?
