Is your laptop pulling an IP address?

Start
Run
Type CMD then enter
Type ipconfig then enter

Your IP address should start with 192.168. for a home router.

All Things Food / Kitchen Knives
« on: December 01, 2012, 02:50:39 pm »
Looking for recomendations for a kitchen knife set. I am not a pro chef so I don't need a $400.00 set of knives. I am looking for something good quality in the $100.00-$150.00 or so range. I have read reviews for a number of sets in that price range and they mixed. I was looking at Victorinox 8-Piece Knife Block Set
online and the reviews are good and it is in my price range. Any suggestions or recomendations?

Thanks

General Homebrew Discussion / Beer recipe credit
« on: September 16, 2012, 01:56:21 pm »
I am going to be entering a couple beers in competitions that were based on recipes I found online or in magazines. I did not brew any of the recipes identical to the original recipes. I changed either the yeast, types and amounts of malts and/or hops. One recipe I only chagned the yeast and the amount of spices added.

Evan though the recipes I brewed are not exact to the original recipes, but based on the original recipes, should I name them the original recipe names? Should I just make a note on the entry sheet which recipe I based mine on?

I sent Milford Barrel an e-mail last night and they have unlined open head barrels in stock for $45. Thanks again for the suggestion Tom. I will be in that area in a few weeks for work and will try and stop by to get a barrel. Much easier to pay $10 more for a barrel without a liner and not have to worry.

Thanks for the replies. I will look for other reconditioners in my area. I did not even think to search for them. I just happened to see the barrel in question on craigslist for $30 (open head with lid, $35 for lid with bung hole) and got the idea to try making a UDS. I will pay a little more if I can get one without the liner and not have to worry about it. Milford is about an hour and a half away so not that bad but I will look for something closer.

Thanks again for the replies.

I am thinking of building a UDS and have a question about a barrel I found on craigslist. The description list it as " out of a food factory, have the rust proof inner poly-ceramic liner ". Form the picture it looks red inside of the barrel. Is this barrel safe to use for a smoker?

Thanks
