Equipment and Software / Re: Natural Gas Burners and BTU's
« on: February 18, 2012, 02:05:05 AM »
I use the BG 10 and the BG 12 burners from Bayou Classic on my system (10 gallon) and they work beautifully.  I don't use them at full power either.  With a 30 psi regulator, they're supposed to pump out 55k BTU.

I agree with Tom, but if that doesn't fix your problem, it could be that #7 has worn out a little bit and the hole is bigger it used to be letting beer leak by.

Ah hell a 1/2 bbl keggle is just fine for doing 10g's.  I like a solenoid controlled propane system though.

I would definitely recommend icing the kegs.

If you have the ability to do it, either buy or build a keggle.  That way you're not buying a pot now and another pot later when you decide you want to do 10 gallon batches.

3/16 is usually fine for serving lines.  and stainless is fine, I like brass for my faucets though.

if you put an IC in the kettle full of water, the water will just boil out of the IC, really doesn't matter.

I dont think a little sliver of sunlight for a couple hours or less is gonna hurt your wort.  Not enough exposure.

it's pretty easy, pick your spot take a hole saw big enough to fit the shank, drill the hole, insert the shank tighten the nut on the back side, attach the faucet hook up liquid line to inside of shank
