I mostly agree with the professor.  Some of the big companies have small lines of varied products .  Anheuser Busch makes beach blonde ale etc.  FWIW  i don't mind there fizzy yellow product either on occasion.  just don't like that it isn't american owned.  I just like the variety that "craft" brings.Something new, or a new perspective on something common.  Isnt that why we have so many recipes out there.  Guinness is kind of a big brewery but they brew something other than a pilsner, does that make them a craft brewer? Not in my opinion. It is not a beer I particularly like, something that some british marines and I got in to a disagreement about 25 years ago in hong kong.  But because it is not a common beer

i know this is a little off but has anyone made a press for making their homegrown hops into plugs or pellets.  i have seen it once on some now forgotten web site, but i would like to be able to so i can store longer and not have to deal with whole hops and as much clogging.  my thought was my hydraulic jack and a 2 inch diameter capped pipe to press them into.

Sometimes when I'm in a bad mood and see someone leave their car running in a fire lane to "run in for just one thing", I'll turn it around so it's pointed in the opposite direction, then discreetly watch as they come out of the store and freak out. I like to think that they never do it again, but that's probably wishful thinking...

i think i saw you on that tv show "bait car"  but officer i was just moving it for a friend... here have a homebrew.

its all coming back to me.  i really must have soaked up a lot of radiation.  we used to take small capacitors from old electronics and put them into outlets controlled by light switches. people would come in to a room flip the switch and instead of a normal lighted room there would be a brief fireball and then darkness as the capacitor exploded from the 120v ac.

exactly as hokerer said. drink up.  other way of looking at it is you diluted by 20 percent (1 of 5 gallons)  so you would expect a 20 percent drop in gravity (10 of 50 points)  again. drink up. RDWHAHB  (AND SINCE THIS IS YOUR FIRST BATCH.  BORROW

In some respects it may be a good thing that it is cancelled.  It brings the issue to the legislature so that the law can be improved and (hopefully) less restrictive.  Otherwise the law lingers and when someone wants to enforce it out of malice or just trying to be a busy body, you are hosed.  Hopefully next year all is well.  I do still miss Oregon.

I know a lot of people think that the budweiser add is kind of like blasphemy, but first it does bring in revenue.  second, they promote beer drinking and what can be wrong with that.  if not for those who went ahead we may still be fighting for the right to drink beer at all let alone brew it.  third, anheuser busch makes varied brews under other labels, (beach bum blonde ale), so they aren't without a little diversity. and fourth, i actually still enjoy drinking a budweiser on occasion, the only reason i refrain from it more now is that it is foreign owned.  take the money. put up the add.

dak - i like the idea of putting the valve on the bottom of the bk but have you had any problems with heat damaging the valve?  I suppose i could actually make a fitting that connects to the bottom and runs out away from the direct heat a bit.

Now that I think about it.  When I was in school we had a friend who had an old Audi Fox.  very light car.  late one night we lifted the aft end and moved it to abotu 20 degree angle in the parking space.  just missing the car next to him.  he swore he did not have enough to drink to have parked like that.  Clearly somebody had

I am not a great prankster, but a few of the crewmembers on my old sub took the engineers pillow. soaked it in water then froze it.  nothing like going to bed on an ice rock. lmao

i've pondered a club as well.  There is one in wheaton illinois that is about 30 minutes away.  i am thinking of joining.  would be nice if it were a little closer.  anybrewers in naperville?
