Yeah, I think it is because they are a lot easier to come by. Myself, I use pin, because they just work so much easier in my setup. I had a couple balls, but took them back to the LHBS, and swapped them for pins. So much easier to use, IMO.

I went the the NB website for this link and could not find that post.  Was it really deleted?  What the hell is going on over there if they're actually deleting posts that they find unfavorable to them.  Maybe I just missed it, but I couldnt find it, even using the search menu.

 It's really gone. Yet one more reason I am to.

   I love this one. Really simple, and awesome stuff!


1 Box of shell
1/2# Havarti cheese
1 handfull Parmesan cheese
1 package shredded cheddar cheese
2 can of condensed cheddar cheese soup
garlic powder
salt & pepper
a touch of brown sugar
all the bacon you can stand

Cook your shells, and mix with all cheeses, salt and pepper to taste, a little garlic powder, and a bit of brown sugar. mix in your bacon, and put it all in a baking dish. Add a good layer of cheddar cheese on top
   Bake at 350* for and hour. Turn the broiler on for the last 5 mins to get the cheddar on top nice and crispy, and a little burnt.



Here it is with kielbasi, instead of bacon.

  I snagged a bottle of this while at the grocery store the other night. I'm not a fan of Belgians at all. I'm really trying to come around to them, and the word "hoppy" on he bottle caught my eye. Maybe this will be my gateway drug.

I'm not sure what I'm brewing. What can I make with about 8# of two row, some flaked barley, a couple pounds of honey malt, and a buttload of assorted hops?  You give me recipe, and that's what I'll be brewing.
   If not, I just be messing with the new pump, and fine tuning plans for my new rig.

How about a 5 gallon batch of Creamy Honey Ale?

8# 2-row
1# Flaked Barley
.25# Honey Malt




Mash at 154.  Bitter with a clean bittering hop to between 20-25 IBUs.  Maybe do a mild flavor/aroma addition at 15 minutes with a low-alpha hop.  Ferment with US-05/1056 in the low 60s.

Holy crap! That's a great idea. It sounds so awful, it just might work. I just might do that tomorrow. Thanks man.
