Here is something to think about, you can be the ugliest person in the world on the outside and the most beautiful person in the world on the inside.  Whats on the outside don't mean do do, its whats on the inside that counts.  Bring that when the great shift hits.

So are you proposing we post photos of our insides then?

I haven't brewed for almost a month now :( Just been so busy.
Next brewday is going to be sometime in the second half of December for me.

I enjoy a good Scotch or Canadian. The rest of this spirits family are OK, except bourbons - moonshine infused with vomit IMO.

Not to highjack the threat or anything, but do you beekeepers sell your wax?

My mom doesn't like it. But she doesn't like beer anyway, and my dad, like me, is more into darker, malty beers.
It is still one of my favorite beers, it's just incredible! Can't get enough of it.

General Homebrew Discussion / Re: Could we have moon beer?
« on: November 14, 2009, 08:48:34 am »
I doubt they'll bring water here from the moon, and brewing on the moon station would probably not be allowed :(
Now on Mars... I have no doubt they'll make Mars habitable in time, and when human colonies start popping out and agriculture will begin developing, so will malt and hops, because no one would export CaraPils from Earth.
Only problem with that is that by the most optimistic calculations, it will happen at least 1000-1500 years from now so we won't get to see it :(

We should all start making brew shelters and stock up on homebrew. Something tells me it'll be hard to get malt after the apocalypse.
On the other hand, before that, the apocalypse was in 2008 and in 2000 before that so... Just because Mayans' Calendar is ending, does not necessarily mean the world is ending.
And I don't think world apocalypse is a very good one for the end of the world. It is derived from greek Apokalipsis which means "Revelation."

Probably because it is not symbolic or important enough.
Why let her rot when you could sell her and use the money for something?
Just logic.

Hey yall.
My name is Dmitri. I'm 23. Haven't been brewing for very long, but seem to improve with every batch, or maybe I'm just thinking that. Want to go all-grain, but the lack of space prevents me from it. I actually have to store my brew under my bed... yeah. Thus I must wait until we move somewhere more spacious. Live in Brooklyn, New York City, working on my double degree in Pharmaceutical Science and Biotechnology while working as a waiter in a wedding hall and other filthy dumps. Single, no children, but have the best cat in the world and absolutely LOATHE dogs.
Reader (lowest order of clergy - reading/chanting is what I do) in church, and also make beeswax candles. Compiled a liturgic "guide" in slavonic, making it possible to know what to chant during all-night vigil without going to school for 3 years and constantly shuffling about 5 books. Working on the next, fuller edition.
I've traveled to something like 13 or 15 countries, favorite of which were probably Serbia and Alaska (USA, but still, it's incredible).
Fluent in two languages, able to read in three.
Not the nicest of people, but there are times :)
That's about it, nothing really interesting to say about myself.

You'd need less energy to brew though, and I don't think low g would affect isomerization.

Making your own beer on the moon from moon water would be even cooler.
