Dahm, floods to follow :o

The avy danger went to extreme,
paths running that have not in years,
moving timber.

I made some walkways in my yard with the snowblower for my little YorkiePoo. He's happy now.  8)

:o Holy crap that is freaky exciting!
Great story, I almost never read that much script,
but the Dollar General made me spit and then howl with laughter  :D

I have to admit that those kinds of wicked thunderstorms fascinate me,
when it gets all black and foreboding, wind and lightening....wow that makes my blood roil!

Although I have never experienced the full-on destruction of a tornado,
and that might put a damper on the cool factor.

What's your take on our American IPA's ?

Seems we have developed a couple different styles.
Not such a bitter divide until you try and say one is better than the other. ;)

maybe its better closer to the source.

+1,
With a style so dependent
on a characteristic that fades rapidly over time.
freshness should be a key idea in judgment.

BTW, almost all those good Colorado ipa's are east slopers,
and drain their water to the Atlantic ;D

I have never played,
but still like the fantasy from time to time.

You dreaming boys in Colorado sure do fund some kickin projects though,
Great Outdoors Colorado funded from lottery proceeds makes it all worthwhile IMO.

Don't forget to play ;D

The Pub / Re: Haitian Earthquake
« on: January 14, 2010, 11:23:33 AM »

Earthquakes seem to effect different areas in different ways depending on the topsoil.

Earthquakes are freaky
what if some more tectonic shifts snapped off a couple more quakes next week...
one right off the coast of China,
the other offshore
but spawning a massive tsunami that thrashes Miami...
freaky.

It's a massive and tragic loss of human life, but it's no Ordovician extinction.

Rate of change
on the planet, an important concept IMO
frequently lost in our selfobsorbed second on earth.

A guy I know, a home inspector and member of The Red Cross, got a call to duty.

Yea, I hope all the aid workers can stay safe,
security will be needed.

Wow.  I am stunned by the magnitude.
So sad.

What a scary situation, and to get worse,
so much grief
could soon go to fear and anger

Glorious weather Florida,
nice to brew without sweating...
how about the morning run, the slight sting on the rosy cheeks, little run on the nose
envigorating cold weather is good for the body.

Sucks about the fruit and veges though...
Feels like spring here :(
