Just brewer a vanilla porter and bottled a belgian wit.  This weekend is a peach hefeweisen.

When i used steeping grains I would get the temp up to 155 then let it sit for 30 min.  But, I have heard of other people doing it the other way with good results.

There is a festival this weekend in Atlanta. BaconFest.  It happens every year.  One restaurant is donating 1000lbs of bacon for the event.

- A pork shoulder (boston butt) takes so long to do, I've made it 3-4 times, and every single time, it defeats me.


they do take a while.  I usually keep a 10 pounder on the smoker for 20-22 hours, but it is worth it to me.

Bottling an APA.  Also first family brew day.  Parents and brother coming to house to check it out. Of course the falcons start at 8 so we will have some ribs while watching them win!

We will be brewing a dunkel weisen. It seems to be most people's favorite so far.
