Put a pair of 2kW heating elements in it, a reflux column on top of it, and distill some fine neutral spirits with it.

That's why I suggested fruit trees - pretty low maintenance.

I learned that lesson in Florida.  I had a garden full of annuals that required daily attention.  Way too labor intensive.  Now I grow fruit trees, coffee, pineapples, papayas...  Throw a little fertilizer at them every once in a while and they're good to go.

And alfalfa sprouts!   

(I grow my own sprouts in jars - easy, speasy, 1, 2, threesy!)

I would still plant something edible    Assuming it grows there of course.  Some fruit trees would be nice.

Alfalfa is edible.  Cows love it.

As a professional hydrologist, I can tell you, riparian water rights involve some of the most convoluted and contested laws out there.

Next four days are forecast to be soggy. I broadcast 10 lbs of alfalfa seed on some
of the less productive zones in my pasture.  I have the mindset that if I keep puttin
seed out there eventually it may take hold and I will get a good stand of alfalfa.
What I planted last year is seeming to be pretty happy. That little experiment was a
success....

Even if the alfalfa doesn't make it you're a hit with the birds.

Fresh avocado chunks, Japanese cucumber slices, plum tomato chunks and sweet Maui onion (think Vidalia onions) shavings, drizzled with homemade honey vinegar and EVOO.  YUM!

Put the tablet in your hot little hand before making a decision. My wife's iPad feels like a rock.

Looks like the iPad is about 1.5 lbs, you can get covers that weigh less than a half pound, but a keyboard cover is 3/4 lb plus.

I bought a Belkin Snap Shield case that snaps in place to cover the back and sides - and an iPad Smart Cover to cover the front of my mini.  They provide excellent protection, look great, and add little weight or thickness to the tablet.

The nice things about the Smart Cover are, it attaches magnetically and is easy to remove and reattach, when you close the cover the iPad goes to sleep, when you open the cover the iPad turns on.  It doubles as a two position book stand.
