When ya gonna share some Hawaiian recipes?

Kalo is a canoe plant. Very important in Hawaii.  Poi tastes good mixed with lomi lomi salmon.

Lau lau, kalua pig, opihi, smoked a`u, ahi poke, ahi sashimi, haupia, purple sweet potato... local kine ono grinds!

Spam?
If spam, spam.  If no span, no spam!
Spam musubi is really pretty good.  Very portable. (and cheap).

"Green" peanuts are freshly picked - not dried or "raw" as such.  They still have a lot of their moisture in them and are still pretty tender.  They are brown in color.  Never seen a green-colored peanut before.

This is one of our favs here in Puna.  It's a recipe from Chef Emeril.

White Cheddar Cheese Crackers

It says crouton in the name but we just cut em into 2" squares.  Cut em however you like.  Sometimes we substitue coarse ground black pepper for the cayenne.  Both ways are excellent!

I enjoy the flavor of  Corriander in beer and the mash tun is the place to add it in IMO.
It diminishes the presence somewhat and kind of adds a flowery sweetness/aroma thing.

I've tried adding fresh cracked corriander seeds to the mash a few times but, didn't have much luck with it.  Seemed like most of the corriander characteristics were lost in the finished beer.  Kinda like adding hops to the mash...

Do you use whole seeds or pre-ground corriander?

Every time I try to go see Rod my truck yanks the steering wheel away from me and parks at KBC instead!

And - if you can make it from Puna to Kona and back in three hours, I want to hitch a ride on your airplane!
