The Dream of the 1890's in Portland

Not sure if anyone else here watches "Portlandia," but I laughed hysterically when tonight's episode compared Portland to the turn of the century because of everyone brewing their own beer and pickling their vegetables. It's like President McKinley was never assassinated.
