Wow that looks tasty!  I love mangos.  Do those taste different than the big ones?
Used to eat green unripe mangos on the bus.  Kids sold them with a little hot sauce for a snack. :o

The Ataulfos are freekin amazing. They are rich and juicy and taste more like mango then any other mango. Maybe a touch of vanilla in there to. They are my go to for mango lassi, mango coconut sorbet and eating out of hand. yum. I can deal without mango salso though.

yeah, I agree. I love a mango accent in salsa sometimes but as the main ingredient I usually find it to be a bit too much.
Thank you BEER!

ataulfo mangos, that's reminds me that in the next weekend i'll be making some special ceviche using mango. The combination sweet-and the sourness of the lemon with fresh halibut gives you a nice way to spend the afternoon with a nice beer beside...

that salsa looks very tasty

I just picked up a case of these a few days ago. WOW, they are delicious. I always hated eating mangoes because they're so fibrous and sometimes tough. These babies are smooth and delicious.

I'll have to try these out. Thinking of making a mango mead dry-hopped with Citra.

I haven't been to the store lately but I would bet my next paycheck there are some ataulfos there!

That's funny because when I was cutting one up, I was thinking "I wonder what beer I could put these into." I might pick up another case and make a Mango IPA or something of the sort.
