RIP Junior
« on: May 02, 2012, 12:08:42 PM »
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/report-nfl-legend-junior-seau-dead-182120394.html

Hated him as a Charger ( I'm a Pats fan ) but respected the player.  Totally loved him as a Patriot...a true sportsman, hard worker, and never seemed to let his fame get the best of him.

Every year I'm kinda hope he signs back on with the Pats...I guess that is over.

It will be interesting to see what develops in the investigation.

RIP Junior!

With the initial speculation being a self-inflicted gun shot and the shot being to the chest, I'm wondering if Junior wasn't suffering from brain injuries and took the same route as Dave Duerson so that his brain could be studied as well.

Didn't he drive his car off a cliff a couple of years ago?  Sounds like he definitely had problems, could indeed be brain injury related.

This is a very sad day.  Junior Seau was a wonderful, kind and giving person.  He was a fierce and talented competitor on the football field.  He loved to surf and spent much of his time in the ocean.

I really enjoyed watching him play football, especially when he was a Dolphin.  My prayers go out to his family and friends.

It tore my heart out to see his mom on TV, it brought back terrible memories from ten years back and that "mom" was my wife. Prayers for his family.
