Searching for Active Posts

Is there a way to view the most active or recently active topics? I think it would be nice to be able to click on something to show the active or new topics that have been brought up. I think it would make it easier to search for topics that I've posted to as well. Just a thought.

In the upper right corner, just below your name, click on "unread"
I think that is close to what you are asking
