Anyone brew Graff?

I just watched a quick video about brewing Graff on NB and was curious if anyone on here has done so.  If anyone has, what were the results, would you do it again and was it any fun to change it up?

Yes, the fictional drink in the S. King series.  I am looking to see if this is a feasible and worth while pursuit in something different.  I hope homebrewers are not wrinkling their noses because I am just looking for people who may have done the wort and cider experiment.

I saw the same video. I'm planning on brewing some today! Here's the recipe I just pulled out of my *ss, I'm using stuff I have on hand.

.25lb crystal 40
.25lb crystal 120
.1lb special b
3 lbs dark DME
1lb wheat extract
60 min  1oz saaz
10min .5oz Saaz and Irish moss(better safe than sorry I guess)
Flameout-.5oz Saaz
3 gallons apple cider

I totally made this up and it may taste like crap but I'm going for it

I haven't seen the new BTV video yet, but I am curious. Don't think I'll get around to doing a Graff this year, but if I have a sour beer to blend I may try a sour Graff next year.

I think someone is making a dry-hopped cider right now, and that really has my interest piqued. I'll definitely be trying a gallon of that. Just not sure on the hop selection yet. Thinking either Sorachi Ace or Nelson Sauvin.

I've brewed a number of batches of Graff, maybe ten or so with different yeasts, ciders and base beers.  It was fun to play around with, especially in small batches with some Belgian yeasts.

I am going to be using my stout recipe and switching out the US-05 for the white labs Belgium Ale yeast that is in the fridge.

I saw the same video and was already planning a 10 gallon batch of stout for next weekend.  After seeing that video I think I am going to split 2.5 gallons stout wort and put on apple cider and another 2.5 gallons on cranberry and see what comes out.

If you use a wine yeast that can't eat maltotriose, graff is an easy way to brew a sweet cider with natural carbonation.

Beer and hard cider mixed post fermentation taste great and refreshing. Nothing to loose.
