Pint Glass Pricing Poll
« on: January 17, 2013, 03:15:19 PM »
Hopefully no one minds being used for market research. I'm getting ready to order some more merch for the brewery, and trying to find the sweet spot between what people want to pay and what I can afford.

If it impacts your decisions, this is a 20 fl oz tulip-style glass with etched logo and imperial pint (568 mL) fill line.

I voted 8 bucks assuming it came filled with beer. I might pay 8 regardless but if I was at a tasting room and could buy the glass filled with beer for 8 bucks I would snap it up.

Once the pub is open, we'll definitely do a deal like that, but this is just for the glass.

Ah, I saw what the glass was too late.  I was able to erase my vote and revote.

By the way, I love my tulip glass from the Seattle AHA conference.  The only thing that would make it better is if it had a pint capacity instead of 12oz.

hell, most of the pint glasses around here are $6-7 without the logo.  for an imperial pint logoed tulip - i'd pay $10.

People pay for beer glasses?
I think all of mine came from raffles, prizes or promotions.

i went 8 bucks. i like that glass.  given that the price referenced is just under 2 bucks each.  filled with beer and a logo i could go for 8.  without beer and just logo it would not fetch more than 5 from me.

Sounds like a cool glass, still I would definitely buy it at $5 as is. I think the average person would part with $5 bucks easy for a cool logo emblazoned tulip glass.

I voted $8 and I'd probably, and have, paid more.  I've got several tulip 5oz taster glasses from several local breweries and they usually run $2.50 - $3, so I have no problem paying $8+ for 20oz glasses, especially if it came filled w/ beer as Mort suggested!

I have paid as much as $10 for a tulip or goblet glass, but those were crystal. On average around here, $5 for shaker pints and such.

Just for the glass I voted $5.  If I was at a tasting room, liked the beer and the brewery, and it came filled with said beer I'd pay $8.

+1

I feel like Mr Moneybags in this crowd, but I definitely go out of my way and am willing to pay quite a bit extra to support my local brewery. I'm not a fan of the usual V-shaped pint glass, but for a tulip imperial pint I'd definitely pay $10, and maybe more if it included a beer. Makes me feel good to pimp my fave local brewery's swag.
