I sure love mine.  More in the kitchen, than the brewery, but this is one cool device.

Yep.  That and a damaged package.  I personally would rather save the money from new though.  I buy reconditioned electronics all the time.  So far, never had a problem.  But ya never know.  I guess it's bound to happen soooner or later.

That is a great price, as long as they work properly.  I love my Thermapen.  I have one that is dedicated for brewing and one for cooking.  I gave one to my brother for Christmas this year too.  I guess I'm sort of a Thermapen junkie!

I bought one of these open-box/refurbished Thermapens last July. It's warrantied as if new and works just the same.

I've had good luck buying other factory reconditioned electronics. As long as its still warrantied then you probably shouldn't worry.
