Meridian Hops
fmader:
Has anybody brewed with this new beast yet? I'm thinking about buying a pound, so I would appreciate any reviews.
erockrph:
I got a pound in my freezer, but I haven't tried them out yet. My basement is colder than usual this year, so I'm trying to take advantage of it right now with some alts and lagers. I'll probably do another round of single-hopped pale ales in a couple of months to test out a bunch of new hop varieties I'm sitting on.
tschmidlin:
I used them to make a single hopped pale for the NHC. From the small sample of beer I got I would say they are quite nice, very good for a pale ale. Although like the El Dorado, not mosaic nice. :)
But them, you won't regret it. Buy some El Dorado too. ;)
bluesman:
Tom...was that one of the beers brewed for Stan Hieronymus's talk last year? I remember tasting a beer with them at his seminar. The beer was very nice.

I've seen you mention Mosaic a few times, so I bought 5 oz from Label Peelers. I couldn't find any bulk rates on them anywhere...I actually had a tough time finding them. So, I'm looking forward to using them. I'm thinking about about using them to finish an IPA that I bitter with Summit. I really haven't thought too far into it yet.
Anyways, I went to order the Meridian and El Dorado hops and once I added the El Dorado hops to the cart, there was not a "sufficient" stock for this amount. I emailed them to see if they actually had some, so I might just be trying the Meridian haha.
