My goal is to do a double brew day on Monday. Club "Same Brew" ESB in the morning, and then a pilsner that I am turning into a california steam beer in the evening. I need more beer... No brewing for almost 3 months hurts the beer storage...
In Bottles: Honey Brown Porter, Raspberry Riesling, Mild Ale, Scotch Ale, Mild Ale
In a Keg: Munich Pale
Conditioning: Molasses Hard Cider
Fermenting: Flanders Red, ESB

I got a big tax refund, so I got myself a blichman toptier burner, a polarware HD 8 gallon with thermometer and an immersion chiller.

I have a belgian tripel (extract/speciality grain) sitting at 65 in primary right now.

I am not sure how well it is going to turn out because I had a boilover.  I wasn't watching the temp like a hawk and the power of the toptier burner compared to the turkey frier I was using before resulted in my first boilover.  I placed an order for some fermcap-s because I have seen nothing but positive reviews on it.

Next weekend I move it into secondary and then I am doing a pumpkin ale for my wife.

I may have posted this in the wrong place before so I will post here ....

brewed up a 14 gallon batch of munich helles ..... inoculated one 5.5 gallon fermentor with wyeast munich lager yeast (appropriate starter) and the other with dry S-189 (appropriate sachets) rehydrated with go-ferm rehydration forumula....Pop quiz question: can anyone tell me what happened to the other 3 gallons????...the munich lager fermented at 50F and the S-189 fermented at 52F... the ambient temp in the fermentation chamber was as much as 3 degrees below the internal temp of the fermenting wort.... Had I went by ambient temp instead of internal temp, my fermentation temp would have been way too hot...see the lagering thread just below this one... cheers!!

brewing up Janet's Brown Ale this weekend.  Never made it.  only difference will be simcoe instead of northern brewer as I don't like the latter and thus don't keep it on hand.

Rye IPA, 3.5 lb. of Rye, Magnum to bitter, Chinook and then Amarillo adds.  Haven't planned dry hops yet.

I might plan my first lager in the next couple weeks. Gotta get in touch with the local brewery to get some yeast.
