really? my wife buys that stuff, but I've never tried it - guess I'll give it a go.

Please do and report back with your findings.  I just put it over a bowl of cereal and you
do not need to add any sweetners....just pretty yummy IMO. (if you like the taste of Almonds)

What brand? We tried one but didn't like it, it was too thick and too sweet.

Well I got the Silk brand and want to try the Blue Diamond.  Yeah it is thicker than milk
and sweetened but I kinda like it...could be my new goto for milk substitute.

It's not bad, but too sweet for milk.

Good old skim for me please!  My wife drinks whole goat milk... talk about soup.

Why not milk?   I grew up in dairy country and to me, there is no substitute.  YMMV.  Of course if you are lactose intolerant, my sympathies and apologies. ;)  I know if I were, I would be really sad.

More importantly- can one make cheese out of it? ;D

I like vanilla soy milk from time to time. Had the Ricedream too. The almond milk has been around for a while, just never tried it. Will do so if I can find a small carton. Does it come in liters?

You can make some yourself.  Sugar is optional.

Almond Milk has always been "non-dairy".  :P

Rice milk is good too, horchata in Mexican restaurants.
Almond Milk is good - just pricey.
Never compared the two nutritionally though. Are they at all equal?

Really, I was thinking New? Non dairy? People have een drinking almond milk for a thousand years.

I know how to make homemade almond milk, Delicious and much creamier and better than store bought. I also know how to make rice milk, and horchatta, even soy milk. Its not hard.

Want my recipe? Horchata is a rice milk almond milk combo.
Beer, its whats for dinner.

Horchata is a rice milk almond milk combo.

Maybe in Cap-land. Here(Chicago) it is basically cinnamonny-liquidy-sweet-rice pudding flavored drink.
What's your recipe?

Edit:
OH! Maybe you're using almonds, whereas here there might be a hint of vanilla?
