Got a lb of rye malt Joe Bair (Mr Solar Brewing) toasted for me on the rig, so...........it's a Toasted Rye PA Sunday. 8)

Just using the 5 gallon system this weekend but, I'm thinking two recipes. An IP Abbey style and maybe a Foreign Style Stout.

Heading out to West Texas & Midland to see my folks. Only a short 5.5 hour drive. PITA but I do enjoy the scenery. Most of it anyway. The Permian Basin isn't all that inspiring to me.

Gives me a chance to listen to all those Brewstrong episodes. Learned a lot on those drives...

I just doughed in with 12 pounds each 2-row pale and wheat, 1 pound Crystal 60 foe my Gumballhead clone attempt.  The hops schedule will be 2 oz's of Amarilo at 60, 20,10,5, and flameout.  I'm not an IPA fan but I do love Gumballhead.
Euge, I know how you feel about Midland.  I have to go there at least once a week.  It's only 2.5 hours from here but I don't have the scenery that you have, all I see are pumpjacks and tank batteries.

No brewing for me this weekend. I have a cider to transfer into secondary(still has about 2 points to go) and I have some sampling to do!! Planning a brew for next weekend. Thinking of something appropriate for Black Friday! While the wife is out shopping, I'll be brewing up a Black IPA or a Big Ol Punkin Porter. Still have a couple days to decide....

Taught my brother how to do all grain brewing but brewing up a 5 gallon batch of a coriander wheat beer, then I'm building his first all grain set up for his christmas gift.
