I need to buy/make a mash paddle that i also could stir my bk with.
The $3 spoon isn't getting it done.
I don't want a 6' one, more like 3'
Anyone make these? What type of wood?

Check northern Brewer:
Mash Paddle - Doweled:
http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/mash-paddle-doweled.html
or Stainless Steel Mash Paddle
http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/stainless-steel-mash-paddle.html
Both are 30" long or so they say.

I have the doweled mash paddle that works great. Just be careful with it if your using a braid. I got the braid caught in it once and had to replace it.

I made one like Tubercle's and love it! The nice thing about a solid oak paddle is, you don't have to worry about someone sneaking up and trying to steal your brew!
