What's Brewing This Weekend - 6/17 Edition
« on: June 14, 2011, 01:06:42 PM »
I'm on the road at the awfully early hour of 5:15 AM tomorrow, so instead of depending upon my sorry butt to do this then - here we go. Whatcha doing brew wise this weekend?

I solemnly swear to not make fun of those who aren't going to be at the awesome super fun party time known as the 2011 NHC in San Diego.

I am finally getting around to brewing the Big Brew Day East India IPA, better late than never!  Doing a 10 gallon batch and then will split 5 gallons and add Brett. Clausenii and Hungarian oak to give it an Old world feel.  Although, I would rather be at NHC this is a close second.

No brewing this weekend. I'll just be imbibing the fruits of my labor and smoking some pork shoulder with a few friends.  8) I'm a little jealous of you folks heading to SD for the NHC. There's always next year, I suppose. Why didn't I go last year when it was in my bloomin' hometown?!

Right?

No brewing this weekend. I have kegs to fill and evaporation issues to dive into. Hope everyone has a great time in Deigo! Love that town.

I really regret not going to NHC this year!  Good luck to everyone in the second round!  I'd be thrilled and a bit surprised if I get a medal but there's always hope.

Friday night I'm kegging a Patersbier and washing the yeast. Saturday I'm racking a Strawberry melomel and transferring an APA off the dry-hops into another keg.  I also might transfer a Boh Pils off the dry hops into another keg. Then Sunday brewing a Westvleteren-inspired Quad using the cake from the Patersbier.

Let me just start by saying that you suck.

Having got that out of my system, I think I'll brew an APA this weekend.  My current keg is so wonderully clear that it has to be about ready to blow, and I can't live more than a couple of weeks without a hop infusion.

I may also make another attempt at an alt, I did just regrow that yeast to keep it fresh.  Or a witbier, I just got that yeast in not long ago.
