Too many fermented apples and got stuck in a tree.  Evidently it's pretty common in those parts.

They will probably end up rescuing him repeatedly . . Once they get a taste of the "High Life" they will be back. My mom had a similar situation with chickens she was raising years ago. A White Mulberry tree in her front yard would drop its fruit and the berries would ferment. The chickens would race from their coup every morning to get to the front yard "Pub" and be flopping around by 8 am. Pretty hilarious.

haha, that's hilarious.  There's a beer brewed by Estes Park brewery called Staggering Elk, this story reminded me of that.

 I swore I had heard that elk were straight up, but moose were super lush partiers. :-*

In Sweden, the moose are called elk, more like elche.  Same in Germany.

The car companies run different "Elche" tests.  These involve evasive manuevers, or actually crashing into a simulated moose.

Anyone know why they're not called moose over there? Because "moose" is a native american word. I believe it means "twig eater" or somesuch.

This is from Wikipedia, but it appears that Wapiti are not in Europe and that the early settlers were confused.
