Results from the Homebrewers Association Club-Only Competitions as well as the current homebrew club points for the August-May competition year are shown below. The winners of the Club-Only competition earn points for their homebrew club on a 12-8-4 basis for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.  Club points from the Club-Only Competition go toward the point total for the AHA Homebrew Club of the Year award (see National Homebrew Competition).

Club-Only Competition Results for 2009-2010

The Session Challenge, English Brown Ales Competition (February 20, 2010)

The AHA thanks Tim Hayner and the Impaling Alers club of Kent, WA for hosting the Session Challenge, English Brown Ales Club-Only Competition held February 20, 2010. This competition covered category 11 of the 2008 BJCP style guidelines. This was the fourth of six competitions in the August to May 2009-2010 cycle, with points going toward the Homebrew Club of the Year trophy. Points are awarded on a twelve-eight-four basis for first, second, and third place in the Club-Only Competitions. First, second, and third places in both the First and Final Round of the AHA National Homebrew Competition earn points on a six-four-two basis.

Of the 78 entries from 31 U.S. states and Canada, the following winners were chosen.

Strong Belgian Ales Competition (December 5, 2009)

The AHA thanks Nelson Crowle and the Dunedin Brewers Guild of Dunedin, FL for hosting the Strong Beligian Ales Club-Only Competition held December 5, 2009. This competition covered category 18 of the 2008 BJCP style guidelines. This was the third of six competitions in the August to May 2009-2010 cycle, with points going toward the Homebrew Club of the Year trophy.
