Download a copy of Zymurgy: An Introducation to Homebrewing to hand out at your event. Printed copies of Zymurgy: An Introduction to Homebrewing are also available by e-mailing your request with the number of copies needed to Kathryn@BrewersAssociation.org Requests must be made before October 30, 2009 to allow for shipping.
Take your new homebrew recruits to your local homebrew supply shop to buy ingredients.
Hold a special beer dinner for friends or family who you will teach to homebrew.
Bring out homebrewing literature for your friends to read, such as Zymurgy, Zymurgy: An Introduction to Homebrewing, The Complete Joy of Homebrewing, and other homebrewing books.
Take photos/video of your Learn to Homebrew event to post on FaceBook and YouTube.
Share your homebrew, or pair your homebrew with food, and have fun!
After the event
If you registered a site this year, you can still report your numbers from last weekend.
Post the photos/video of your Learn to Homebrew event to FaceBook and YouTube. Be sure to use “AHA Learn to Homebrew Day 2010” in the title to ensure they can be easily searched. Adding tag lines like “beer", "homebrew" & "brewing” will also help search functions.
Teach your friends how to bottle the beer you brewed together.
Encourage new homebrewers to go to their local homebrew supply shop.
Buy an American Homebrewers Association Gift Membership as a gift for new homebrewers.
