Most homebrew competitions accept mead entries, but a few accept only mead entries. Here are a few of the mead-only competitions. To find information about other competitions visit the AHA Calendar.

Meadlennium is hosted by the Central Florida Home Brewers in Orlando, Florida, USA. This is the second largest mead-only competition and is also the longest-running mead-only competition (since 1998). Meadlennium is an AHA/BJCP sanctioned event held annually on the last Saturday in January in Orlando, Florida.

The Savannah Brewers League has held the Domras Cup Mead-only Competition since 1998 (one week younger than Meadlennium). This competition is an AHA/BJCP sanctioned competition and is always held the Saturday before the Super Bowl (typically, one week after Meadlennium); the next competition will occur on February 5, 2011.

Mazer Cup International is held in Denver/Boulder, Colorado, USA. The competition is the largest Mead-Only contest. It is a BJCP/AHA sanctioned event. It includes amateur and professional competitions.

The Goblets of Gold mead competition takes place in Homer, Alaska, USA. This competition is hosted by the Q & Q Brewers Guild and the Ring of Fire Meadery, and it is a BJCP/AHA sanctioned event.

Arizona Mead Cup is hosted by Brewmeisters Anonymous club in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
The Muse Cup takes place in Fort Collins, CO. This AHA/BJCP sanctioned competition is hosted by the Liquid Poets of Northern Colorado.
Valhalla, the Meading of Life is hosted by Brewers Unlimited Zany Zymurgists (BUZZ) in West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA. This is a BJCP/AHA sanctioned event.
