Making Stein Beer with FOAM

Basic Brewing Video joins Gene Collins and members of the Fellowship of Oklahoma Ale Makers (FOAM) in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on their third annual Stein Brew Day.

There team uses discarded granite from a local cemetery for their boil as the rocks chosen must be non-porous to avoid spawling and cracking, which could cause serious injury.  The extreme temperature of the rocks caramelize the sugars on contact, causing sweet and smoky flavors in the finished beer.
