Title: My beer in a brewery!
Post by: jamminbrew on December 11, 2012, 07:55:57 pm
I have gotten to know the owner of a small nano brewery here in Colorado Springs rather well. I bring him a few of my homebrews to drink and comment on. He has been rather impressed with my beers, and has let me brew a couple batches on his system! The first one was my DIPA that won gold at the state fair, and the 1 bbl batch was gone in 4 days. So he was crazy enough to let me back in to brew something else... I made a Belgian style amber, but I used some Citra hop at the end of the boil. Used the Chouffe yeast. Has a high gravity, a peppery flavor, and is a bit unusual. I call it Singularity. It will be released tomorrow as part of their Christmas party. So if any of you guys (and gals) are in the Springs area, come to Great Storm Brewing for a pint or two!

I still have some Cyser left from Thanksgiving, and I've got 3 lined up to get through the next couple of weeks.

An Imperial Stout that I infused with nibs and vanilla bean in the secondary.
A Pale Ale 100% Otter and Citra
and Lastly a Holiday Spiced Ale.

I'll get my spring offerings nailed down during the Christmas Break. I have a sparkling cider that'll be ready, and I have everything for a rye. Have to figure out what I want for St. Paddys day.

Have a Good Christmas everyone! ;D

Congrats.  I know you're having fun.  This is how my wife and I got started with a commerical brewery.

Thank you guys!  It was a great night, the brewery was absolutely packed!  To the rafters! A good night. Got great reviews on my beer!  Might have sold out already...

Thanks again, guys! Sold out. 6 kegs gone in less than 2 days, taproom only sales. The other 4 beers released the same night, still have over half of the remaining beer! Kinda gratifying to see my beer sell so quickly, but wish I had grabbed a growler. Only got 1 pint of it... But the owner did say I can brew whatever I want, whenever I want. Woohoo!!!
