44 on the beers. Maybe 5 for the mead and cider.

33 beers, 2 meads, and 1 cider.  I want to make a lot more pilsners and lagers this winter so the number will go up.  Also, I need to make my first sour some time soon.

gosh probably 10 or 11, but voted less than 10 to be safe.  too tired to count.  all that is about to change as i have a new brewing project that will take several batches to complete in styles i have yet to brew.  it's a blended beer oak barrel (wet and rye), not sure of all the styles yet, but a pal and i are doing it together.

12, but I've been focusing on 4 lately. Working on house recipes

~40.  I don't have some of my oldest brewing notes, but that's pretty close.

15.... I don't know if I'll get that number a whole lot higher, but would like to eventually get it to 25ish

On a quick estimate, I'm thinking 48.

Glancing through the categories, I think 38, but I'd have to go back through my brewing notes to make sure I didn't forget any.

I counted 54 including one cider. Quite a few could be considered to overlap more than one style, (Smoked Imperial Bacon Stout for instance) but I only included that in one category.

I'm at 21. I'll probably be adding another 5 or six over the coming months, but I see myself capping in the low-mid 30's. There's quite a few styles I have no interest in, and I don't forsee ever getting close enough to brewing all the styles that I'd ever want to brew a Light Lager, Wit or Rauchbier just for completionist purposes.

I count about 55 and 5 meads, but I've been at it for quite some time.

Looks like 42 different beer styles and 3 ciders.

36 for me.

I always thought there were only 2 styles: light and dark. ;D
Going through the list I realized I'd brewed a lot more than I ever imagined.  46 including ciders and mead.  I haven't done any strong ales that I can remember, and I haven't done any true fruit beers.  I've used fruit in Flanders red, and some brett beers, but no "normal" beers with fruit.

Wow, I knew I had brewed quite a few styles but after counting I discovered I have brewed 61 including a couple of ciders.
Cheers,
Brandon

four or five. I brewed a really good chocolate porter/stout. Want to enter it into the Washington state fair, but I need to figure out what style it really is. If only I knew someone whose girlfriends uncle has been brewing for years... Oh wait, I just found out my girlfriends uncle has been brewing for years. Kaplah!

I voted 10-25...but most would be without any consultation to the guidelines, and practically accidental.  Since I don't enter comps, the guidelines are pretty much irrelevant to me...the end result and the taste rules the day.

Brewing with style will always be more important than brewing to style.

What a great question.  I always figured I've brewed most the styles that exist, but turns out it's only like 41 of the beers and 4 meads and ciders so that's 45 total.  As much as I love dark lagers, altbier, English brown ale, and Belgian sours (LOVE them), sadly, I have never brewed those yet, at least not on purpose.  This is all about to change based on this discussion.  I was already planning to brew Pete's Wicked, so that one's covered.  And I've actually made an English brown before, but I added smoked malt and shouldn't have.  Of course, I have brewed probably a dozen different Category 23 beers.  I suppose you could say Cat 23 is my "specialty"!

Now... time to go design that perfect altbier recipe!

I really should give credit where credit is due for that quote.
So, thanks go to Lew Bryson, one of the better no BS 'beer writers' out there (and one of only 3 or 4 I actually enjoy reading) for his words of wisdom.
They really do ring true, bringing home an important point that we often lose sight of.

Lew is great.  I discovered him 15 years ago, within a few months of becoming a homebrewer, and learned a lot about beer by reading what he'd write in the usenet group rec.food.drink.beer.  We share a birthday (although I'm older) and I write to him every year to wish him happy birthday.

From a rough count in my head, it's in the mid 40's somewhere. Got to admit that I think quality is much more important than quantity. I think most of us would agree with that. :)

I counted them up and it was worse than I thought, 57 beers, 6 meads and 3 ciders....I think I need an intervention.

Way to represent Pa. Dave! Might as well start calling it Pennsylfornia!

45 for me.  I didn't think it had been that many until I actually looked at it.  And I have brewed most of the 45 more than once.

12.  There are only a couple other styles on my radar right now, but eventually I'd like to try at least one from each of the 28 major categories.

I had to change my vote. turns out I have brewed 36 sub-categories if you include mead. 33 without the mead.

Looks like just 16 for me, plus 1 cider and a recent mead, but I haven't been at it too long.  Most of these were my own creations, though, and NOT exactly to style.  Hope to add one more this weekend.  Time for a hefeweizen before summer is over!  My most repeated category is Saison - still searching for that perfect combination.

I brew a lot of jackass beers, so category 23 is probably home to most of my beers.

Is that when you're brewing bareass while getting shot with a paintball gun? Or is that when you're brewing wearing nothing but a g-string and bowtie?

I thought g-string plus bowtie is how everybody brews??

Well, that was fun. 78 including mead and cider.

Just yesterday someone asked me, "What kind of beer do you brew?" I replied, "All kinds."

Now I have the numbers to back me up!

Styles I have not brewed:  Some of the American Lites, a couple of the Scottish lites, Flanders Red, Oud Bruin. Given that, my numbers aren't likely to go much higher.
