just doing some math and adding cost of few of the components-pretty good value at $299 if you need to get started or just adding some pieces to your brewing equipment.

Does look like a good way to start. Wish I had seen that when I bought my kit: "all you need to brew your own beer!" Except for brew pot, and a million other things I have found a "need" for in the last 18 months. I like the draft/legging inclusion

The kit I started with was
fermenting bucket with lid and airlock
bottling bucket (might have included a bottling wand)
racking cane and tubing
capper and caps
