Title: Great new place, same great Weaze.
Post by: weazletoe on May 06, 2010, 03:54:31 AM
Well, I made it. As of 3:00 p.m. Mountain time, I'm an Idaho resident. It was a heck of a 4 day trip out here, but we made it in piece. The next couple weeks, I'll be getting the mancave / brewery finished. Next week, I take a semi out to Ohio to get all our stuff, and in early July, I fly back to Ohio to work at the sheet metal shop for a couple weeks.
Can't wait to get the brewery running again. Been a while since I've brewed. Decided to change the name of the brewery too. From "Three Taverns" to "Rocky Mountain Buckeye".
I'll try an post some pics of the place, and my mancave in the works. And, if any of you are even near Pocatello, Idaho, look me up.

Glad you made it safely. Moving myself across the country twice in 5 months was quite the adventure. Hope yours goes well next week.

Glad to hear your move went well.  Does the brewery get a new motto, too?  Maybe something like "Skip the spuds, brew some suds" or "Real men mash grain - not potatoes"  ;)

The trailer pulled like a dream. I ended up getting a weight distrubition hitch, and sway bar. Most of the time I never even knew it was back there. Well, except that one time I looked in the rear view mirror, and freaked cause I thought we were a split second away from getting rear ended at 70mph, only to realize it was the trailer behind me.  ::)
I love the idea for the new motto "real men mash grain, not spuds." I hope to be back in full force soon, and back posting in the beer threads. Glad you all could come with me. See you real soon.

Won't be long before you start wondering what all the potato talk is about. LOL! You comin' to Boise soon? You've come all this way, might as well go a couple more hours. :)  If and when you do, my taps are open.  8) You've only moved halfway across the country so you can't be that tired. :D

Hope to be in Bosie real soon. I'll be sure ande let you know when. I'm in desperatee need of a homebrew. Been living of micrfos since I been here, and it's just not the same. Rest of the family went to Idaho Falls today. I'm gonna stay here and work on the mancave. It's coming along real nice. It's all weathertight now, the trim is all that's left on the outside. Inside is all wired, 110v, cable, phone, internet, and sound. Today, I'm gonna start rocking. So, if anyone is gonna be near the butthole of America, stop in. I could really use a hand hanging the ceiling.

i grew up in ohio but when i was in the navy i was stationed just north of pocatello in idaho falls. it was 1985 and that is when i had my first homebrew.  was renting a house and found a box in the closet under the stairs. the family who owned the house were named cushman.  we called the beer cushman's red. have no idea what it really was, how long it had been there.  we did know that it sucked, but it got me brewing.

I bet you Hit Laramie, and felt that 70 MPH breeze and thought....what the eff did I  do to my self now?

OK well may have to wait till you get something brewed and ready to drink b-4 I visit.  I have been known
to get over to Idaho Falls....and go north from there to look for Opals.....Spencer to be precise.

I'll be passing through, but (barring any interviews at INL) not until September.

Welcome to the great state of Idaho! If you ever have the chance drive up to McCall, Idaho, I grew up there and it's a beautiful place to visit.  I currently live in Minnesota but get back there to see my parents whenever I get the chance, I've made the drive from here to there WAY too many times, ND and the western half of Montana are boring to drive though!
Anyways, I'm glad the move went well, good luck setting up your brewery!!

Good to see you are getting settled in. When you get up and running I'll find a way to get to visit! But you need to get brewing!

The plan....just a plan....is to get out to Utah and see my sister in Tooele, and possibly get up to Pocatello and see my other sister sometime this summer. With the wife's sickness, that may change but if I do get out there Weaze i will send an email to set it up.

The only vay-cay I had so far is last week in.....gulp......Ohio....west of Dayton. Camping with wife before she started radiation on monday. Did the ham radio convention at Hara arena and had a blast as we usually do in May every year.
