Yes.  Check out rotating top picture at tap-26.com (http://tap-26.com) for yourself.  I'd be surprised if there wasn't a typo on the price!

Has anyone heard more from the OP, or purchased any of these kegs?

I e-mailed the OP and did not receive any response.

I got a response and pics of the kegs.  The have some sort of weird non standard fitting so I decided I wasn't interested.

Thanks - not that I need any more kegs right now, but $8 a keg makes a pretty compelling WANT.  The company HQ address is not too far away, so would consider a drive to pick up.  However, if the fitting isn't Sanke I don't think I want to also be investing in additional keg hardware.

It wasn't Sanke or corny or anything else I've ever seen

I found that by googling wine couplers. I guess it's old school but many breweries dumped it for sanke d. It's called a Hoff-Stevens twin probe. New couplers aren't cheap if full stainless is top choice. Must take a special wrench to open.

There's a reason they're only $8.

If the top fitting is removable, you could use a carboy cap or a large drilled stopper and use them as fermentors.
