Two Mile Brewing is opening February 29th!
Odds are we'll only have 2-3 beers on for that weekend, so we'll be closing Mon-Thurs for a couple weeks until supply ramps up and the spring break tourism is in full swing. Be sure to let me know if you're planning on stopping by!
-
Congratulations!!! Glad to hear it coming together for you.

Second that on the congrats, it's a long, tough haul isn't it? Best of luck up there in the thin air.
-
Ha, never thought I'd get to read this post! Congrats! And here's to your success!
-
Congrats! Wish I could be there.
-
Congratulations!
Only problem is you have to wait four years for your first anniversary...
-
Glad to hear it! Do good work.
-
I wish you all the best of luck Sean. I know you make great beer. :)
-
Road trip! Congrats!
-
Oh wow. Now to figure out when we can swing through Leadville.

Wow! That's great news, Best of Luck!

also, while it didn't literally take you forever it was pretty damn close. ;)

Our loan officer told me, "If I'd known it would take this long, I would have just said no up front."
But yeah, continents drifted during this thing. And we're another week behind with our stupid plumber, so the 29th/30th will be an "Open House" with tours and free food/beer samples while we get the first batches online.
-
Congrats Sean!

That looks so modern compared to the old service station interior I saw several years back. Good luck on the opening!

All that time and effort! Started as 2 Mile....down to 1......down to an 1/8 Mile.....back to a Mile......TWO MILE BREWING open for business.
Couldn't be happier for you Sean

No update since COVID-19 mess? Sean, are you going to make it through this?

Only time will tell... I kept assuming that someone would look at a calendar and realize it's possible for a business to open after 2/15 but before the shutdowns started, but that's expecting a lot of Congresscritters. We had about two months' operating expenses on hand for the opening so the situation really just got dire a couple weeks ago.
I am finally brewing again, so of course that makes me happy. We're going to reopen the 20th/21st and take it from there. 6' distancing gives us six seats for unrelated customers, so we may not be able to take in enough to be fully staffed, and 80-100 hour work weeks are getting old. Probably weekends only for the pub. Maybe beer to go every day. We'll just have to see how it all shakes out.
Expect an asteroid strike on the 19th! ::)
-
How strictly are they enforcing the antisocial distancing rules there in your neck of the woods? I haven't dined or drank in Leadville in a good many years but I'd expect a much more casual attitude than what you'd find in Denver. We're supposed to maintain all that 6' silliness and do the whole mask thing, but nobody seems to be paying more than lip service to the rules.

I actually went out for lunch for the first time since the Before Time today. Compliance was nil once everyone had a drink in them and I had to repeatedly ask people not to put another bar stool down next to me - given the implications for me getting a cold at this particular moment that's not too far off from what I'd be doing anyway. I'm sure that's the same scene anywhere though; it's just human nature.
I remarked in another thread that the best thing any retail business could do right now is have their full plan in place for *when* we shut down again to flatten the second curve, and the third, the fourth... Fortunately we had a little cash on hand to stock up on gloves, masks, sanitizers, growlers and to-go containers, etc. once they became available again.
-
Congratulations and best success! We will definitely make this a stop on out trek to CO next summer!!
-
Well, good to hear, Sean. Hope you can make it through this.

Never thought I'd get to post this, again...

So this is the place that you told me about when we were in San Diego five years ago? It looks very nice! Go get 'um, Mister.
-
We will stop in. When, who knows.

If we sit at opposite corners of a picnic table our heads are just over six feet apart!

Awesome, congrats! Let's hope being cooped up for 3 months encourages people to get out.

No worries on that front, we were turning people away all weekend. May just colonize the parking lot for more seating.

Breweries and bar-heavy restaurants down in Denver are doing this.

Yeah no kidding. Tried to go to the local farm brewery yesterday and it was way too crowded for my comfort.
