Good Morning All,
Being new to the forum this seemed like a good place to jump in. I'm from south-central Pennsylvania and have been brewing for 6 years now, my wife made the mistake of getting me a Mr. Beer kit that has now evolved into an all grain kegging hobby. I'm still brewing kits, but hoping in the next few years to start working on some recipes of my own, and playing with other recipes to find out how far I can change it and still enjoy it. I'm looking forward to learning a lot on here, and meeting new people!
Take Care

Welcome, Vince! I started out with kits, too, and they're a great way to learn about the process and explore some ingredients...looking forward to hearing more about your brewing!

Welcome Vince. Don't be afraid to tweak some recipes. There are a boat load of recipes for every style out there and a good number of them could be easily improved. Best of luck.

Vince, Welcome! This is a great place to ask questions and learn. I like to start off with a tried and true kit or recipe. Sometimes I tweak it by what I have in inventory or by what I think will make it tastier. Enjoy!

Welcome! You will find lots of good brewers here who are more than willing to lend their thoughts and advice.
It might be starting get a bit old, but when you're looking to start brewing recipes rather than kits, Brewing Classic Styles is a great resource for recipes for many different styles of beer.

I started out with kits in 1993. That is the reason why I still brew today.

Welcome. When I write recipes I always search this forum. There are lots of threads where people discuss recipes for every style you can imagine. I also search the AHA recipe database. It has lots of award winning homebrew recipes.
And of course ask. Forum members will gladly offer input on recipes.
