Going to be in San Fran Saturday, have reservations at the Thirsty Bear Brewing Co. Any recommendations?

They had good appetizers when I visited a few years ago, but the beers were average back then IMHO. Get over to 21st Amendment. It's not far.

Have had some ok to good tapas there. The beers were hit or miss.
The other place that I know south of Market is City Beer. A craft beer store with taps, so you can have a pint or 2. You can also buy anything in the store and drink it there for a $1 corkage fee.

Well, you guys hit it on the head. Good tapas at the Thirsty Bear. Beers average, although they do get points for a hand pumped not over chilled cask ale, it was tasty. 21st Amendment had a strong ale month going and was selling $7 13 ounce Belgian inspired ales and porters..... AHA membership card to the rescue! I found the black ales a little too chocolaty for my taste. But a beer called St Lupulin, billed as a Belgian Imperial Ale was quite tasty.
