Amazing. Glad at least some Deutsch runs through my veins.

And I thought I was cool when I learned to ride a bike without using my hands as a kid.

That is pretty amazing.  Fixed gear bikes with a 1 to 1 gear ratio.  Pretty amazing the one girl can stand on the other's shoulders while she's going backwards pulling a wheelie...

Almost makes the stuff I used to do on a big wheel with a handbrake look easy.  ;D

I manage the email list for the Cascade Jugglers, they send this kind of stuff out all of the time.

But I have a little time on my hands while I wait for Franklin (http://www.nersc.gov/nusers/resources/franklin/) to run some of my latest experiments.  And I'm procrastinating a bit on dissertation writing. :)

It's fast. ;D

But that's not even the latest one, Hopper2 (http://www.nersc.gov/nusers/systems/hopper2/) is a lot faster.  It's not worth the work to modify my stuff to run there though, Franklin is fast enough.  But if I start a new project I'll be all over that. :)

Working on some UIC periodic reports and some NPDES permit applications today, me.  zzzzzzzzzzzz

Not as much fun as the days when I get to play outside measuring DO, salinity and enterococcus densities in the Kapoho tide pools, but hey, it pays da bills.

Underground Injection Control - the EPA's way of protecting our drinking water from dookey (and other nasties).

NPDES - the EPA's way of protecting our surface waters from dookey (and other nasties).

zzzzzzzzzzzz

I'm personally very glad that they are protecting me from dookey (and other nasties).  Sorry you have to do the reports though. :)
