Title: Nothing better
Post by: uintafly on March 18, 2011, 12:27:12 AM
Is there anything better than sitting on the couch eating pizza, drinking good beer and watching March Madness?  I say no!

The only difference for me is watching hockey, but yeah!

At least for today, I prefer sitting outside on the screened in porch with a brew and the wireless and enjoying the spring-like weather we're having.  Around 4 today I decided it was too nice to sit in traffic and bailed out of work.  I came home, put on some shorts, popped a beer and finished up the day from the deck.

+1, except my Sens suck this year.

I usually don't give a crap about basketball, but March Madness rocks.

Sounds like a good time to me.

Who's do you think will go all the way this year?

St. Patty's day and the ER's are fairly empty. What's up with that? Lets wait another couple hours and the drunks will roll in.
Nothing better would be me sitting on the back porch and a beer in hand. But that will have to wait.

I was just gonna say, "unless it's hockey instead of ball" but ya bet me to it. Go Pens!

Yes, hockey, not basketball.  Interesting trend :)

I don't watch basketball at all unless it's incidental.

I fall into the hockey camp here. When the playoffs roll around, I'm glued to the TV. Let's go Hawks!

I would also fall into the hockey camp, but my TV got zapped and the tuner doesn't work anymore.  But relaxing with a beer outside in this brilliant weather, maybe with something proteinaceous on the smoker?  Yes please.

Basketball's ok, hockeys better but the Leafs suck and will continue to suck forever.
Lacrosse is the best to watch.  Fast and brutal.

March madness?  Hockey?  Are those TV shows?

Life stops on the first Sunday in February and begins again in April.

They're better than my Avalanche. I'm almost embarrassed to call myself a fan...

I'm not much for following sports but a good game of Hurling is fun to watch.

Nothing like a bunch of dudes running around swinging clubs at each other. The perfect sport.  ;D

+ a kazillion

Never hear of it until a couple years ago.  I was on course with work and a couple buddies & I head to the pub after supper.  They were playing a match from the 70's on the bigscreen.  WOW!  We couldn't take our eyes off it.

The first time I heard of it we were in Ireland 8 years ago or so.  Amazing!  I was sucked in right away.  We ended up in Kilkenny at the same time as the All-Ireland championships, and both the seniors and under-21 team were in the finals.  And they both won.  It was crazy!  A Guinness truck rolled in to town and folded out into a stage, the teams came through, massive party. ;D

But the sport itself is really amazing.  There is a local group, I haven't been to watch but I'm going to have to go.  Some of you might have clubs nearby too . . .
