Looks like I'm not going any where for a couple days. :-\
-
Man...I just checked the radar,
that looks like a doozy.
I love it when it is all blue
churning around...
just in time for the season.
Have fun!
High pressure here ::)
-
I did get a Double Engine Blond in the fermenter yesterday before it hit, looking at 18" right now. ;D
-
We are getting hammered here in Philly PA, with the snow ;D . Gave the kids some hot cocoa to warm up and daddy had a nice Simcoe IPA.
-
It just started snowing here in New York City about a minute ago!
Woo Hoo!
-
Its been snowing here since i woke up at 6am, and we already had decent coverage i could barely see the grass. Its starting to get windy now i'm guessing the weather person will be right, 8-14 inches.
-
It has been snowing here in D.C. for what seems like forever! It does not look like it is going to stop anytime soon either. Well, I guess I will just stay in and have a brew day tomorrow. Hopefully my yeast starter is ready to go by then!
-
In Philly too. WOW. I went to work this AM (had too) and there was nothing. About 12:00 I figured I better get while the gettin was still good. 16 miles away and I just got home. 2:10. :o
And, what is it with all of the people flocking to the grocery stores when it snows? Do people do that out in the midwest? What do they think stores wont be open for the storm or something? Even so they pack the grocery store son the day of the storm? Its crazy. I drove by a couple of stores on the way home and they were packed. People are weird.

Sterling, VA here. Looks like we're sitting under about 2 feet give or take. That's going to shut this area down for several days at least.
-
Sunday morning time to shovel out, this is not going to be fun. Luckily i can medicate myself with some Homebrew afterwards. Here is hoping that anyone else that needs to shovel out doesn't pull out any muscles.

:o :o Holy Crap!
Man, talk about a time to throw back the head
and let loose an Ullr Yodel!
Yeeeeehooo ;D
Enjoy.
Ummm, sorry for those who do not enjoy such events :-\
-
I love it.
But I do get angry when I wake up to find out that my wife parked her car all the way at the end of an 80' drive way. WHY?
-
grand total looks like 20", dug out yesterday twice and both times it was near a foot. Full sun today will beat it up but the goods in the woods will be happening for quite some time. ;D
-
We have four to five foot drifts in Delaware. Record snow for December. Thank God for snowblowers.
-
Capp, by me it seems everyone goes out during the storm just in case they run out of sugar or something. Good Luck digging out boys.
Remeber take it easy snow shoveling, we don't need any heart attacks.
-
I can see it out where you live but here we are in an urban area, the streets were clear by mid-day Sunday.
You and many of your neighbors have a long drive to the store right boulder?
-
Got about 2 foot here as well. MDDOT takes pretty good care of the roads. My driveway is clear and dry. The dogs are having a blast in this, except for the rathound, the snow is about 4X his height :o

That's funny you mention it. I made some walkways in my yard with the snowblower for my little YorkiePoo. He's happy now. 8)

I take back what I said about the roads being clear. Philly sucks at clearing the roads. None of the roads near my shop were plowed at all. Parking lot wasn't plowed yet either, at least a five foot drift up against my door.
Then I went to Maniyunk (The San Francisco of Philadelphia). and forget it, couldnt even get up the hill.
What a waste of time I dont know why I even got out of bed this morning, and Im out of sugar.
-
Capp they plow pretty fast around us, because they are prepared to do the plowing all the time. A dumper like you east coast guys got would take them a couple days to get cleaned up by me. Sounds like the same for you.

Well, Maniyunk doesn't exactly have normal sized hills either.
-
This is true. I was there again today. The place where I am at is right off of Levick, which is the "The Wall".
Nice town but man, getting to and from is tough., even worse if there is snow.

it 71 here...brrr....

yeah, serves me right :P
it was in the 30s and low 40s at night all this week, 50s during the day. its warmed up today back to the 60s but another front is supposedly coming tonight - I actually enjoy it - nice change of pace and I get to break out some of the sweaters and other stuff that gathers dust in the closet.
I tell you what, the best thing was brewing last weekend - best.brewing weather.ever. Didn't break a sweat the entire day, and I didn't have to use my prechiller feeding to the Therminator - ground water was cool enough - into the fermenter at 56df...

you're in the central part of Florida, right?
-
you're in the central part of Florida, right?
yep 20-30miles west/n.w of gainesville---farmland
The nearest weather station is this> LINK (http://www.misterweatherman.com/wxhilowavg.php)
This morning my outdoor weather sensors recorded >> 11.7f and under my brewing tree>> 16.3f . My in-ground pool had slush forming on the surface, as the pump was running.
:o

Glorious weather Florida,
nice to brew without sweating...
how about the morning run, the slight sting on the rosy cheeks, little run on the nose
envigorating cold weather is good for the body.
Sucks about the fruit and veges though...
Feels like spring here :(

hah! its like you were there!
I love it - I was commenting to my wife this morning how the dogs ran the entire lake run (1.1.mi around) at top speed - I honestly think without the requisite pit stops, we could have finished the lap in under 8:00, whereas its usually 9:30 or so if no 'stops'.
I can't believe how much easier it is to run - I did a 6mi run on sunday morning without a problem even though I haven't broken above 3 in ~2 months.
-
:) Hells yes man,
My dogs really start to go off with a skiff of snow...
wriggly piggly
edited for blather :-[
