Progressive Machining is probably out at this time.I purchased the last one they had about 10 days ago. They are really nice people to work with and would be glad to let you know when they plan to machine some more bushings. They are machined individually by hand and were made originally specifically for one of Sam's engineers at DFH. Give them a call at 302-422-8913, tell them what you are making .They"ll know which bushing you are needing. It has no part number.Good luck

I am assembling a Randall 3.0( parts list includes a Micro-matic faucet adapter CK-035 which evidently does not exist on Micro-matic's web site.The part must thread into the 7/8-14 bushing and allow connection to a beer line. What I can't understand is what exactly directs the beer into the hop vessel before it goes into the de-foaming vessel?Could the air vents be the answer? I've seen previous versions in action but not the #.0 version. Thanks in advance

Thanks, I do remember reading that awhile ago. I'll have to do some reading on the adjustment for alcohol and gravity.So its refractometer during mash and hydrometer afterward.

I have two hydrometers and a refractometer. Here's the question:Using distilled water at 67 deg.  Hydrometer #1 reads 1.002 Hydrometer#2 reads dead on 1.000.But when I measured gravity of primary, I got #1 at 1.038, #2 at 1.032 and the refractometer(calibrated to .000 with 67 deg distilled water) reads 1.050.I've tried cleaning the blue glass and the cover bue still get the  1.050. Since there is obviously some malfunction of the spec., would there be anything wrong with adjusting the spec to read 1.032 and frequently cross checking it's reading with the same hydrometer#2. I really do like the ease of using it, but knew something was wrong after 7 days of active fermentation only reading 1.050. Any suggestions?

I've read on several threads the recommendation of using a protein rest when a large portion of the grain bill is Maris Otter. Is there a consensus opinion whether this is necessary or not.I love to use it but really have not had great efficiency, not that this number is all that important but hitting target gravities from recipes is harder for me when MO is substituted for 2 row.

My water analysis is as follows: Ca 6, Mg 2, Na 18, SO4 18, Cl11, HCO3 35, T. Hardness 23 , Alkalinity 29 ,RA 23 SO4/Cl Ratio 1.6
  I am going to brew(all grain) an Imp. IPA using 16.5 lbs maris otter and 1lb crystal10(SRM~9.4)In using Bru'n Water I tried to match the Pale Ale profile as closely as possible.I am very new to water amendments so I would really appreciate any input/suggestions about the following water amendment proposal.
Gypsum 1.25( gm/gal)
Epsom .50
CaCl     .25
Chalk    .50
Phosphoric acid .5ml/gal

thanks, that makes sense to me. I've recently started using Beersmith but I have been having a little trouble hitting the strike temps without a lot of temp corrections and  the mash seems a little dry also.I usually add some more strike water to get the consistency I'm looking for. Like you guys , I'm really not so concerned with the numerical proportions.

love this recipe. Do you notice a gradual decrease in the vanilla taste upon aging? I have a  few bottles about 10 mos old and there seems to be a slightly more bourbon note than originally noted, the vanilla is very subdued. Do I need more vanilla next time or less bourbon
