Beer Travel / Re: Amsterdam

Check out a neighborhood called de Jordaan near the city center. That neighborhood has some of the coolest beer-centric taverns (or bruin caves) in Europe. Just walk around there and stumble into whatever bar you fancy. Many permit tobacco smoking, too, though it is technically prohibited.

I was in Amsterdam last summer with a couple of friends and we rented an apartment close to the Jordaan area. I really liked it there, nice pubs and great beer. Should definitely try it out.

I also like chicken feet. My friends also find me weird but this is one of the few delicacies i like on Chinese restaurants.  I am talking of them authentic Chinese restaurants though, not those take-outs.  I tried cooking some with different ingredients.  Try adding some char siu sauce with chili garlice paste and oyster sauce.  Add some sugar and chili powder to your preference.

Be sure to cash in on the cheese.  I would almost do not care about getting the pairings right between the drinks as long as you have the right partner for your drinks.  I do not know the specifics but you should have the cheese that would go well with your wine.  If you are looking for the beer, try something with different tastes.  I like the ones with ginseng and some herbs of some sort.

The Pub / Re: Recent Earthquakes caused by Experimentation?

I have also read of this news in one of the search engines and it would be hard to move and make me believe of such accusations.  I mean, yes you could provide evidences that it could be caused by such but i do believe that more powerful forces are at work here and not just some radio waves you captured on video.

Did you guys see the car that was speeding when the flood was coming? That is something i would only picture in a movie but it has come to life.  Not that it was a pleasant view  and my heart goes to those who were affected but my point being, the movie 2012 is not as far from reality as what we initially thought, though i would not want buildings falling down while the road opens up.
