The Pub / Re: What's the Weather Like Where You Are?

Mine says sunny, but that is a damn lie. It basically looks like the “golden hour” all damn day here. Everything is covered in ash and I can barely see the houses on the Riviera. Wear your N95 masks outdoors.

Clearer today in Orange County, but I can still smell lots of smoke. Be safe in the valley and Ventura and SB

Most of the information in that thread is still current. Brieux Carre is open now (opened 4/1/17). Sonny isn't with Gordon Biersch anymore, but the new guy learned from him, so the beers are still pretty solid. Unfortunately, I'm on call next week, so probably can't make it anywhere to meet up.
Just got to crescent City brewing

I think you will find a fairly recent thread on this in the beer travel section.
It's a short walk to The Avenue, a great beer bar, from the Quarter or you can take the streetcar.  Crescent City Brewing has OK beer.  NOLA Brewing is not really walking distance, but worth an uber ride.
Have fun!
Thanks

I'll be in New Orleans for a few days in November. Staying in the French Quarter.

Anything to drink there? Haha

I have heard good things about Grey Sail in Westerly.

Thanks,

I got this after I got back.  had one of their beers on tap. Pretty good.

Ended up stopping at Trillium on my drive down from Boston and went to Beer'd Brewing in Stonington, CT. I would recommend both.

If you look at the original post and first couple of pages, you'll see that this thread isn't even about LODO.  But as soon as somebody brings it up, oh my gosh, look at all the pages that have been added since, the contents of which are essentially meaningless and just scare even more people away.
Sorry for bringing it up. It's ridiculous

It's not really your fault.  It just takes on an icky zombie life of its own.
No kidding,  just sad how it killed the activity on the forum

I was a very regular reader and frequent commenter here, until the lodo arguments began. It ruined the atmosphere and friendly discussion

Hit libertine in Morro Bay, three stacks and a rock is new in Morro, when will you be in SLO county? Firestone Walker in Paso,  Mammoth lakes, 21st amendment in San Francisco.  Russian River and bear republic in Santa Rosa. Indian wells near Ridgecrest.

The checklist scoresheet doesn't allow for a lot of comments, local competitions are better for lots of feedback
